I don’t know about you…but news that the military, you know – you guys – the guys that get all these great benefits from the Veterans Administration…the active and reserve military – it has been said that you are to be the ones that will probably be cleaning up the gulf spill.  That takes away a bit of stress from me.  Why?  Because I would rather see our guys who receive the great Veterans Administration benefits – you guys who we owe our freedom to – you men and women who have been deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan – I would rather see you doing something great for the country here at home for once! I totally respect your decision to serve, and I completely admire your loyalty to command and country.  But wouldn’t it be a nice vacation for some of our county’s best soldiers who have been on three tours, to help those folks here at home in the gulf states?  BP has rallied a lot of volunteer support.  But if our military resources are called on to serve here at home, especially to help those folks in Louisiana, I’m going to breathe a sigh of relief!  I love the fact that when you serve your country, all these great benefits are available from the Veterans Administration, maybe a bigger benefit might be to serve at home for a while, eh?
